The Optimus 7 is not known as a terminal with a striking beauty, but is elegant and very well done. The back is metal and plastics used in the rest of the terminal have a very good feel and appearance. The adjustments between the different pieces are excellent and solid feel is very good.

SCREEN

There is no doubt that what is striking is the Optimus 7 operating system, Windows 7 Phone, as it is one of the first devices to install it.
The interface consists of a few "hubs" (boxes) that act as large direct access to applications. These hubs are fully customizable and can put the shortcut to the application you want simply with the "anchor the start." We anchor applications, contacts, etc ... Its handling is very simple, thanks to them we can quickly perform any task.
In addition to the hubs, the interface complements the main menu if you drag to the right or squeeze the arrow. It is a menu of applications such as life, where we met with all the options, settings, applications, etc ... Among the applications, we are among the options that are also using the drag on both sides (eg in the Marketplace we have the main screen, drag to the right and passed to outstanding, and so on).
As for the customization of the interface, in aesthetic terms, currently there is excessive options. We can change the color of the hubs among many that come in the options menu (blue, dark blue, purple, red, green, lime ...) and the background color from black or white. Maybe there are users that they miss more choices of colors or to put the wallpaper you want the menu. Still, I think the interface has a very stylish and attractive. Simple and minimalist, but very nice and different from other available systems. Visual effects done by opening or closing applications are also very beautiful visually.
At all times your performance has been very good, is a very fluid (even started a lot faster than iOS or Android) and at no time I have been blocked or has a "gesture" weird.

No doubt that with current operating systems, application store is a key attraction. WP7 uses the "marketplace" of Microsoft, which is very similar to the IOS or Android.
The number of applications is far less time than in competitors' stores because it is a system, but each day the number of them is increasing and there are many important applications and games available. Yes we miss WhatsApp applications such as style or Sygic GPS or similar, but a matter of time to appear.
The management of the store is very simple and has the characteristic of having the general store and another store brand of your phone, where the manufacturer hangs its like applications can be designed especially for our terminal. Like, for example, the iPhone App Store shows us new applications, highlights, free ... and we can also purchase music.
The general operation of the store is good, although I got an error in updating 2 programs at once. I had to update them separately.
- Internet browser, email
With the browser we have the main disadvantage that does not support flash and html5 does not work too well. On the contrary, I was positively surprised how fast it works and especially what it is to move fluid through the website or use the zoom functions. No doubt in these two respects surpasses the standard browser on Android and even Safari, which for me was the best in fluency (W7P now, I doubt). In terms of options, has more or less the same as in general: windows, landscape mode, favorites ...
E maintains the minimalist design of the rest of the system, but does the job perfectly. We have several views to see the post: all, unread, marked and urgent. Also allows us to mark multiple messages (to mark as read, for example. The display of the message is comfortable and allows us to load the images if you wish. We can create multiple accounts (Windows Live, Yahoo, Outlook, Gmail, or POP and IMAP accounts ).

Following the success of the games in IOS, it appears that Microsoft also wants to shine in this section, and is fair to say that Xbox Live on Windows 7 is very well implemented. The application allows us to enjoy our library of games, try out new games, read the latest news on recent developments in game, accept friend requests, modify your profile. All this is enhanced with the application Extra Xbox Live, Microsoft and free in the Marketplace, which also allows us to talk with our friends, change your avatar on Xbox Live, see our achievements, view friends online ... It is quite worked and my I get the impression of being in a miniature Xbox 360.
The catalog of games is even more limited than, for example, IOS, but there are plenty of quality titles like Assassin's Creed, Need for Speed, Tiki Towers, Rise of Glory ... most take advantage of the benefits of Xbox Live.

I use Mac, so I can only speak of the system version of the block, and impressions are positive but more limited. - Limitations of Windows 7 Phone and conclusions of the system
As you see in the writing so far, overall W7P is a system that I'm enjoying it a lot and it works very well, but still very young, so it has bugs and limitations:
- Still no multitasking, although the button "back" can solve the ballot in many occasions.
- No copy and paste, but is expected to be settled this month.
- The updating of the programs in the Marketplace I usually make more mistakes than are desired.
- Still missing important programs, especially GPS navigators.
- Synchronization of contacts is not perfect. It forces you to sync with Hotmail or yes and lets you set filters, so that we have a long account touches to clean or create new account. Besides having no filter gets you Messenger contacts on the agenda, which I do not like.
- We can not transfer files via Bluetooth.
- We can only use the system ringtones.

You may have limitations that make certain users or pose a W7P, but keep in mind that most are limitations that will gradually disappear. CAMERA
It is the highlight of the phone. 5MP is LED flash and a small mirror for self portraits. Enables video recording in 720p.
The quality of the photos, as you see in the sample is "normal" I would say a step behind the iPhone 4 or S Galaxy which are the most recent phones I've tried, although I do not look bad. I left for my use. If someone really wants good pictures ... Nokia N8.
On the video, it is not of great quality and I think that is behind the terminals mentioned above, but also left for occasional use.

BATTERY
The battery was one of the arguments more weight when choosing the LG Optimus 7 W7P instead, since its capacity is the largest, and the truth is enduring quite well. I hold to my use 3 days, with the internet as always, the mail account configured, some internet browsing and some loose call. I would say that autonomy is based on that of the iPhone 4 and above without a doubt the Galaxy S.
CONCLUSIONS
In terms of hardware the LG Optimus 7 seems a very appropriate choice within W7P, for although they are very similar all, the LG stands to have more autonomy than others, internal 16GB NAND (Samsung Omnia 7 only has 8GB and NAND HTC is but a memory card welded, so are slower). It is also very well done and no serious bugs. The display is what is behind the others, for use while others LCD already use modern technology as grinding.
On Windows 7 Phone is the most important of the review, as I discuss in the review section, but note that it is a new and still has limitations, it works very well and I think has a great future. You have to forget the prejudices of previous versions of the system and test it. Surprise for good.
